Creative children's party in Utrecht or on location
Is the birthday boy or girl crazy about crafting, making things, and coming up with their own ideas? Then you can celebrate a creative children's party at Fraai Workshops.
No afternoon full of competitions and a strict schedule, but instead a cozy time together at the table, choosing materials, trying things out, making things, and of course, taking something beautiful home. Every child is allowed to put their own spin on it.
The creative children's parties are especially suitable for children from about 8 years old.
The party can take place at Studio Knutsel in Utrecht or, on many days, at your own location.

What does a children's party look like?
A creative children's party lasts approximately 2.5 hours .
We take plenty of time for the chosen creative activity. Depending on what you make, the children will be creatively engaged for approximately one and a half to two hours.
In addition, there is time for cake, presents, and just enjoying each other's company.
At a party at Studio Knutsel, juice for the children, coffee or tea for the accompanying parent(s), and a slice of cake for everyone are included. Of course, I also ensure a festive atmosphere with garlands.
Would you prefer to eat cake (as well)? That is possible. You bring the cake or other treat yourself.

What are we going to make?
In advance, you choose one creative activity that suits the birthday boy or girl and the age of the children.
Below you will see the four activities you can choose from for the children's party. In the request form, you can indicate which activity you prefer.

At Studio Knutsel or at your own location
You can celebrate the children's party at Studio Knutsel in Utrecht.
But I can also come to you on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, for example at home or at another suitable location.

For locations within approximately a 30-minute drive of Studio Knutsel, I do not charge extra travel costs.
Is the location further away? Then we will check together in advance whether it is feasible and what additional travel or transport costs are involved.

For a party at a specific location, we also check beforehand whether there is enough space for comfortable crafting and what is available at the venue.
When can a children's party be held?
Children's parties are in principle possible on:
Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, depending on my schedule.
You can provide multiple preferred dates with the application.
Wednesday
On Wednesday, it works a little differently.
During regular school weeks, Studio Knutsel takes place later that afternoon. Therefore, I do not offer on-location children's parties on Wednesdays.
At Studio Knutsel itself, it is sometimes possible to combine a session with the regular Studio Knutsel afternoon on Wednesdays.
Then we start with the children's party's own part. Afterwards, there is time for cake, presents, and possibly a small game supervised by the parent(s)/guardian(s) themselves, while I prepare the kitchen table for Studio Knutsel.
Afterwards, the children can join that afternoon's activity.

Studio Knutsel is closed during school holidays. However, a children's party can still be scheduled at Studio Knutsel on Wednesdays during that time, subject to availability.

For an at-location party, we coordinate in advance what is practically needed and what is already available at the location.
What can you expect?
At Studio Knutsel, it is all about being curious, discovering new things, having fun together, and going home with pride with something you made yourself.
You are given the space to:
to try out new materials,
to experiment creatively,
to contribute ideas of your own,
to work together,
to help each other,
to persevere when something is difficult,
to be proud of your own creations.
Everyone works at their own level.
It is not about everything working out perfectly, but about having fun, discovering new things, and daring to keep trying.
After tidying up, we usually end the afternoon with a short game or a movement activity.
Take a little bit of Studio Knutsel home with you.
All children who participated in a creative children's party receive a Craft Party ticket.
With that ticket, they receive a one-time €5 discount on a single Studio Knutsel afternoon.
That way, they can choose an activity themselves later on that they think looks fun.
Costs
A creative children's party costs €130 for a maximum of 4 children.
From 5 children, you pay €28 per child.
At Studio Knutsel, a maximum of 8 children can participate. On location, the party can be celebrated with a maximum of 12 children, provided the space and the chosen activity are suitable.
The price includes the chosen creative activity, materials, supervision, juice for the children, and coffee or tea for the accompanying parent.
For parties at a location within approximately a 30-minute drive from Studio Knutsel, no extra travel costs are charged. For locations further away, additional travel, parking, or other location-related costs may apply. These are always discussed in advance.
If there is no suitable table and seating available on location, I can bring and set up a folding table with stools for up to 8 children for €45.
Are you bringing a cake or pastry to Studio Knutsel? Then I will provide the necessary tableware. I charge €1.50 per person for this. This includes plates, napkins, pastry forks, a cake knife, a cake server, and a cake stand.
Any other special requests or extra materials? I always discuss any additional costs in advance.

In it, you can indicate, among other things, your preferred date, how many children will be attending, where you would like to celebrate the party, and which activity seems fun to you.
After that, I check if the date is possible, and we coordinate the activity and practical matters together.
A request is only final after I have confirmed the date and location.
